Import/edit JVC Everio GZ Mod files to Windows Movie Maker

What's Mod file? Mod is the tapeless video format captured with some models of JVC, Panasonic and Canon digital camcorders, with video encoding of MPEG2-PS and audio track encoding of Dolby Digital AC-3 encoding for the audio track. It can be viewed on your PC with a player reproducing MPEG-2 video. Unfortunately, Windows Movie Maker has no such a function, so .mod file can not directly play in WMM.

1. After download and install JVC Mod to Windows Movie Maker Converter on your PC, click "Add" to load .mod files to the program. You can import several files into the program once.

 

2. Edit Mod video (Optional settings)
Click "Edit" button, go to the editing settings under these two options: "Crop" and "Effect".

 

3. Set output format under the menu of "Profile", for example, select "WMV videos(*.wmv)" as the output format.

 

4. Hit "Start" to begin the conversion from Mod to WMV for WMM.
